Privacy Policy

The short version: your photos stay on your iPhone.
All culling analysis runs locally on your device. There is one optional feature — AI Pick — that sends downsized thumbnails of a single photo group to our AI service, and only when you tap it. Nothing else ever leaves your device: no accounts, no tracking, no analytics.
Data we collect
Keepframe collects nothing automatically and has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. The only data that ever leaves your device is what you deliberately send with the optional AI Pick feature (see below). Because of that feature, the app declares "Data Collected" on the App Store — but everything else about Keepframe runs entirely on your iPhone.
Your photos
By default, Keepframe analyzes your photos entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Image analysis, grouping, scoring, and recommendations all happen locally. Your photos and their contents are never uploaded anywhere, and we never see them.
The app requests photo-library access only so it can read your photos for on-device analysis and, with your permission, create a "Selects" album or move outtakes you choose to your device's Recently Deleted. These actions happen locally through Apple's PhotoKit.
Optional AI Pick
AI Pick is an optional, tap-to-use feature that asks an AI vision model to choose the best shot in one group for you. It is off until you tap "AI Pick" on a group, and the first time you use it we ask for your explicit consent.
When you tap it, the app sends downsized thumbnails of just that one group (plus the group's genre and the app's own on-device notes, such as which frame looked sharpest) to our processing service, hosted on Vercel, which forwards them to OpenAI to make the choice. We send only that group's images, never your whole library, and never any name, contact, device ID, or account — because there is no account.
These thumbnails are used solely to return the pick and a short reason. We do not store them on our servers, and per OpenAI's API data policy, data sent through the API is not used to train its models. If you never tap AI Pick, no photo or photo data ever leaves your device.
What Keepframe does not do
- No analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind.
- No crash reporters beyond Apple's own on-device tools.
- No user accounts, login, or cloud sync.
- No networking that sends your photos anywhere — except the thumbnails you deliberately send by tapping AI Pick.
- No third-party data sharing for advertising, and no selling of your data, ever.
App data
Any data the app stores (such as analysis results that make re-scanning faster, or your preferences) is kept locally on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Purchases
Keepframe Pro is sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes all payments and subscription management — Keepframe never receives or stores your payment details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Children
Keepframe does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
